Coachwise honour coaches at Coaching Awards

The UK Coaching Awards, hosted by sports coach UK, honour coaches and coaching organisations that have achieved outstanding success.

As part of their own birthday celebrations – to commemorate 21 years as the engine room of sport – Coachwise sponsored the Lifetime Achievement Award, which honoured legendary cricket coach Jack Birkenshaw.

The former England allrounder enjoyed County Championship success as coach of Leicestershire. Jack recently stepped down as England women’s assistant coach, where he helped the team to silverware when they won the World Cup and World Twenty20.

Coachwise Interim Chief Operating Officer, Kath Leonard said “We felt it was right to celebrate our own involvement in sport over the last 21 years by recognising the achievement of coaches working at the coal face, so to speak.”
