The Rugby Football Union
The Job
Coachwise was asked to assist the RFU with the development and implementation of a pilot license scheme for coaches, the RFU Coaches Association. The scheme is designed to encourage the development of existing qualified coaches for the benefit of all those whom they coach. It is hoped the scheme will be launched nationally following an 18-month pilot.
The Solution
The Rugby Football Union draws upon a broad range of Coachwise services, and we provide a number of solutions that enabled their license scheme to pilot effectively.
This includes the development of a quarterly rugby-coaching magazine to support rugby coaches, entitled Rugby Edge. This leading magazine uses numerous Coachwise solutions; it is designed, edited, printed and mailed to individuals using our various solutions.
To support the RFU's scheme, we have also designed and produced a licensed credit-card style card for rugby coaches who have passed the license scheme. All licensed coaches have now been issued with a personalised coaching licence card, and new licence-holders are also sent welcome packs.
The Results/Benefits
The solution has provided a number of benefits to the RFU coaches and enabled the RFU to test the licensing scheme in a cost effective way.
What the Client Says
“The fact that Coachwise were able to supply a number of services all under one roof enabled us to get the RFU pilot licensing scheme up and running in a matter of months. The team were a pleasure to work with and provided valuable insight from development through to launch. It was obvious to us that Coachwise were as committed to making the project work as we were and importantly, they delivered the goods.”
